Dr. Dinh Cung Nguyen is the Director of the Central Institute for Economic Management CIEM, under The Ministry of Planning and Investment of Vietnam, and is a member of the Economic Advisory Group of the Prime Minister of Vietnam. CIEM is a national research institution with a long history and important contributions to Vietnam’s economic reforms. At present, this is also the place where research is being carried out on important projects related to reforming the economic growth model of Vietnam.
Dr. Dinh Cung Nguyen is widely known as one of the plotters for the Enterprise Law, projects related to economic restructuring, institutional reform. Mr. Cung graduated majoring in Foreign Trade from Prague University of Economics (Czech Republic); held a masters degree in Economic Development from the University of Manchester (UK), PhD in Development Economics from CIEM (Vietnam).
