
Dr. Pascal Terrien is director of the European Institute For Energy Research, EIFER, in Germany. EIFER is a public-private research institute between EDF-Electricité de France and KIT-Karlsruhe Institute of Technology.
This institute focus on three strategic priorities to tackle the challenges of the energy transition at the local scale: smart and sustainable cities planning and engineering through integrated approaches, development of local energy concepts and solutions, analysis of the markets and medium / long terms trends for local energy systems developments.
Pascal is also in charge of the research program for sustainable cities in an international perspective.
Pascal holds a Diploma in mechanical engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, a Paristech French High Schools and is worth a diversified experience of Research and Development in EDF, in the steel industry (Arcelor Mittal), chemical industry (Air liquid) and in energy services (Dalkia).
